My version of the three little pigs


Instead of the wolf being the bad guy and the three pigs being the good guys I'm proving the wolf is the good guy and the pigs are the bad ones.

In most of the three little pigs books the wolf is the bad guy who goes around huffing and puffing and blowing people's houses down. When he does this the pigs are running from house to house.

People say that the wolf is bad because of what he did to the pigs houses. It's really annoying for him though because that day he had a really bad cold and it just happened that every house he walked past he sneezed and the house came crashing down.

This all started with him walking around sneezing when he was baking a cake for his extremely sick grandma when he realized he had no eggs. So he was going round asking his neighbors for eggs but every time he got to a door he'd sneeze and bang the house came crashing down.

That is the end of the three little pigs my version I hope you heard more about why the wolf should stop getting a hard time for making people's/ pigs houses fall down.

Maths

Lately in maths we have been learning translations, rotations and some other things and just this morning my whole maths class went down to the tech room and printed out the logo designs we did that had to have all of the highlighted things above in them.

REFUGEES

Over the past few weeks we have been learning about refugees and have had 3 people come in to see us and talk about their lives as a refugee. We had 2 brothers a 1 girl come in. They all talked about refugees but the brothers talked about them and their family while the girl talked about her mum.

Speeches

This week we did speeches so heres my speech, well the first version of it.


I wish my speech could be a minute long and only saying at the most 20 words over and over again, but we can't. Instead we have to say a 3 to 4 minute long speech with different words and even a proper topic.

Now let's talk about the length should it be 1 minute, ½ a minute or should we not even have a speech. If you choose no speech, since we do speeches for confidence you will need to go up and speak on a randomly chosen topic.

Did you know that each when we do speeches they get longer and longer which means more things to think about then write down onto the paper, edit, publish, print out, memorise and then finally present it. That's the whole process we have to go through just to speak. If I was the person who made speeches I would make them all a minute long.

I also wish that we could pick our audience which means have only the teacher or no one to speak to or just say it how we’re supposed to say it. I know what I would pick and that will be to know one.

Then there's the topic why a proper one why not a funny or scary one with 20 words repeated. Most of us would probably like speeches a bit more if someone gave us a fully written speech and we just had to read it out. But then the others they would probably like it better if they wrote it then someone else read it out.

OK now what to talk about I’ve talked about what topic, length and the audience so now what….

….O yes.. If I had a speech on rabbits everyone else's speech had to be on rabbits as well. That means that everyone will have the same topic. So it might get a bit boring but who really cares at least we don't have to spend time deciding on a topic.

Finally the last thing we should have a snack table so if we get hunger halfway through our speech we can walk over to the snack table and get something to eat or should it be for the rest of the class. Any way we should really get one.

I hope you enjoyed my speech and Miss Hazlet you should really think about some of these things and maybe use some of them. It would make speeches a whole lot better….. Well at least for me.

Hi my name is Tori I go to southwell school I love riding horses and dancing we are going on a camp next week at papamoa christian camp.
